Junior Member If you get error when launching Eclipse:::: 'Version 1.6.0_65 of the JVM is not suitable for this product. I don't mean that it's not showing up, but that when I enter it it still tells me it's wrong and hence Java doesn't uninstall.Īny help would be appreciated, thank you in advance. I tried uninstalling Java by the terminal but for whatever reason my password isn't working. So I went to Java and downloaded the newest version and still that same message appears. Version: 1.7 or greater is required.' Alright cool. I can't run Eclipse on Macbook on Yosemite: “Version 1.6.0_65 of the JVM is not suitable for this product.” and I have Java 1.8 (shows in settings) 0 Java 6 runtime environment & old Filemaker pro. Version: 1.7 or greater is require Sun, 27 March 2016 23:07. Re: Version 1.6.0_65 of the JVM is not suitable for this product. I got the error message: 'Version 1.6.0_65 of the JVM is not suitable for this product. So I got Java but I think it was an older version and tried to install Eclipse again.
I got the install helper on the Eclipse website and went through the process of installing Eclipse and was told I needed Java. I bought a new 15' Macbook Pro if that helps at all. I'm trying to install Eclipse and for the life of me I cannot get it.
